In a micro kind of way I feel my life has been ‘on hold’ for the last month.
Two weeks ago I had urgent surgery for something that turned up unexpectedly, and I’m pleased to say things seem OK now. I’m feeling pretty good, and even started back at the gym tonight. I was able to go for a long walk earlier in the week and so far so good. I’m back at the specialist again in another week or so, hopefully for the full thumbs up.
You may recall that during this time I’ve been out looking for my next big challenge. Today, I’m very pleased to announce I’ll be joining the nsquared team on 8 Dec. James has also noted this on his blog. (More on this in future posts.)
With both health and career back on track, its time to take the ‘on hold’ off my life and resume being my happy, cheery self :-)
As I write this, I’m sitting in our very comfortable apartment, on a lovely warm night, relaxing with my wife, wearing my cool Windows Azure T-shirt (thanks Michael Kordahi), drinking my favourite single malt, and wondering yet again why I’m so lucky.
I want some of that wearing cool Windows Azure T-shirt. I learned a lot from blogs, and your article is a great part of them. Thanks for sharing. But if you want some other idea, I’m just around here, hanging up.
