Hi, I’m Craig Bailey and this is my personal blog where I write about technology, business systems, HubSpot and general life experiences. You can read my posts here.

(If you are looking for the Content is King post by Bill Gates it is here)

I’m involved with three agencies in Sydney:

  • The first is XEN Systems. We help government departments and mid-large B2B technology companies with their sales and marketing strategy, including implementation and training in HubSpot
  • The second is XEN Create. We provide premium graphic design services to companies, with a focus on using the latest AI tools, including Midjourney
  • The third is XEN Solar, where we help high quality solar companies (dealers, installers) with their sales and marketing processes.

I also co-host HubShots, the podcast and YouTube show focussed on getting the most out of HubSpot. We are the creators of the HubShots Framework.

Visual Studio 2008 Beta 2 VPCs to expire on 1 Nov?

V

There's been some discussion about the Visual Studio VPCs expiring on 1 Nov this year even though they were originally advertised as expiring next March. MVPs have been asked to spread the word that it is being investigated, and there is a possibility that anyone using the VPCs may lose their data after 1 Nov. So, as per any situation involving important code, data, or other information, make...

PERSONAL: Why have a link blog?

P

A few people have asked me why I now have a link blog (URL here, RSS here). There are a few reasons. The main reason is the signal to noise ratio. Here on my main blog, I like to keep the S/N ratio pretty high. I try to consider posts carefully before posting them, and will generally stand by my assertions (unless proven wrong, in which case I’ll happily recant). I’d like to think...

Convince Andrew Coates to join Facebook

C

Everyone I know is on facebook. Everyone, that is, except Andrew Coates. Most of Australia thinks this is a ridiculous situation, and in an attempt to voice their concern, have created a special group on Facebook to note the conundrum. So I can easily look up any company (eg Jaiku) and find out what hell people are attracted to it for, and even some financial data if any is available (eg here's a new company you may not have heard of :-). Michael...

G

Interesting to read what Computerworld thinks Gartner thinks are the top 10 strategic technologies for 2008. The usual woffle abounds with Green IT and 'the Web platform'  (I kid you not) getting trotted out. And look out for number 10 – Social software – my goodness they are prescient. The problem with these kinds of reports, is firstly, this is Computerworld's take...

A: Yes – read on for explanation… SQL Code Camp 13-14 October 2007 When considering any developer event these days it is important to calculate whether you are getting good value.
