Hi, I’m Craig Bailey and this is my personal blog where I write about technology, business systems, HubSpot and general life experiences. You can read my posts here.

(If you are looking for the Content is King post by Bill Gates it is here)

I’m involved with three agencies in Sydney:

  • The first is XEN Systems. We help government departments and mid-large B2B technology companies with their sales and marketing strategy, including implementation and training in HubSpot
  • The second is XEN Create. We provide premium graphic design services to companies, with a focus on using the latest AI tools, including Midjourney
  • The third is XEN Solar, where we help high quality solar companies (dealers, installers) with their sales and marketing processes.

I also co-host HubShots, the podcast and YouTube show focussed on getting the most out of HubSpot. We are the creators of the HubShots Framework.

VFP: More on Goran Zidar’s TabMenus – source here

V

Well this guy doesn’t muck around… Goran’s already delivered an update to the TabMenus prototype announced last night. This time it includes source and a Word doc tutorial. Download it from here (1.4 MB): Disclaimer: Now, I have to admit that I haven’t checked this version out myself yet – I’ve only had a quick scan of the Word doc. But given how busy...

VFP: Goran Zidar’s TabMenus

V

Goran Zidar, a Melbourne based VFP developer, emailed me a prototype of his TabMenus tool. Basically it emulates an Office 2007 style ribbon in VFP. He asks whether there might be interest in him and his colleagues extending it and making it available to the community? You betcha is what I said. From TabMenus Hopefully if there’s enough comments we can convince Goran to get an enhanced...

VFP: OzFox 2007 local speakers finalised

V

There’s less than two weeks to go until OzFox 2007 hits Sydney… You all know that Doug Hennig, Lisa Slater Nicholls, Colin Nicholls and Rick Schummer are the international speakers right? Well, now I’m excited to confirm the local speakers for the conference. Joining Mark Crichton (announced last month) will be Alain Legrand, Bing Bao and Andrew Coates. You can read all about...

PERSONAL: Final car joy

P

One of the ‘great’ things about having a blog is that some people actually read it! Now, as background to this post, you need to know that I had a few car parking (mis)adventures when over in Minnesota. Click here for the details. So, when I returned to Sydney I thought all that was behind me. But here’s what greeted me when I went down to the work car park after my first day...

VFP: FoxPro resources

V

Here’s a link to my FoxPro Top Tens presentation from last Wednesday at the Sydney VFP User Group: Basically, my hope would be that none of these links are new, rather they are just a recap of some of the great FoxPro resources available. But, there may be a new link or two for you (eg did you know that Rick Strahl has two blogs, one VFP based the other more .Net based?) A word on how I...

VFP: OzFox 2007 update – Rick Schummer joins as a speaker

V

This post has both good and bad news… Firstly, we regret to report that Craig Boyd has had to withdraw from OzFox due to a family emergency. This is a sad turn of events, and we wish Craig and his family all the best during this difficult time. Secondly however, we are very pleased to advise that we have secured Rick Schummer to take Craig’s place. This is exciting news, as Rick (a...

VFP: Sydney VFP User Group this Wed

V

Yes, we start 2007 with a great meeting. Make sure you are there early (first 10 in the door get a prize). There’ll be other prizes throughout the night as well. We’ll review last year and find out what you liked, and then open the floor for your thoughts on the year ahead. Best suggestions win a prize. Next there will be news on VFP, including OzFox 2007. Then I’ll be preseting...

PERSONAL: Back in Sydney

P

As I write this on the plane flight home I am a mix of emotions… On one hand I am really glad to be home. It is difficult living in someone else’s place for 6 weeks (and trying to work remotely at the same time), especially when you need to get everywhere by car (and I don’t need to remind myself of how that turned out {g}). The weather is cold and you can’t really go...

PERSONAL: Getting ready to leave

P

Wow, those 6 weeks have flown by. Sadly, Michele and I are leaving Minneapolis tomorrow, returning home to Sydney. It has been a fantastic time here, and although the time has gone quickly, so much has happened. When we arrived Jackie was very pregnant, and a week later she gave birth to a super healthy boy they named Jack. Jemma (Jack’s big 2.5 yo sister) has been an absolute joy, and...
