iTnews reports that Microsoft will remove a 'feature' (yes, feature) from IE. The supposed feature is that really annoying behavior that required users to click on an ActiveX control to enable it, before they could use it. This is most common when trying to activate Flash movies on a site for example.
How much did this feature cost? Just a measly $521 million. The mind boggles. Not Microsoft's fault – but more an insight into the crazy money that flows around IT these days.
