TRAVEL: New York is safe

One of the things that pleasantly surprised us about New York last week, is how safe you feel. If you are like me (ie ill-informed most of the time {g}) and haven’t been to New York recently, then you probably still have visions of the crime ridded New York of a decade ago. Well that has drastically changed ofcourse in the last 8-10 years (and long before 9/11 in case you might have...

TRAVEL: Make sure you get Sydney right

Whilst this news story (here) sounds a little bit suspicious (it is too early to check it on Snopes yet), it does raise an important point… if you are coming to OzFox 2007 from overseas, make sure you end up in Sydney (Australia) not those other differently spelled cities that sound similar.

Michele wants to move there. We only had time to spend 4 days in Manhatten, but we crammed in as many sight-seeing events as possible. We returned to Minneapolis at 10pm on Christmas Eve, just in time to...

SOFTWARE: Office 2007 Upgrade stumbles

So, I ‘finally’ {g} upgraded to Office 2007. Nothing particularly interesting about that, except to say that I too am indebted to Scott Hanselman (along with many thousands around the globe…) I experienced the dreaded ‘…cannot upgrade from a prerelease version of 2007 Microsoft Office system…’ message. But Scott guided me through it all with his...
